Thomasville, NC 7/26/2011 – Off-Road racing guru Jared Bolton has decided to bring something new to the off-road world, and it’s going to be interesting. “Each year we see tons of awards shows rewarding the best movies, music, and more. I think we could use something similar for off-road racing.” says Bolton. “That’s why I’ve decided to do the Off-Road Awesomeness Awards”

Unlike traditional awards banquets, there are currently no plans to hold a physical awards show. Instead a highlight video will be posted announcing all winners, and some more fun. There will be many awards given in several catagories including; Websites, Videos, Riders, Racing, Vendors and Miscellaneous. All of which will be nominated and voted on by the general public.

The “awesomeness” portion of the awards name was inspired by the fact that our sport of off-road racing is different, and nothing short of awesome. We all know how physically demanding the sport is and how much time and effort we all put it to this sport. While it’s often overlooked for the motocross scene, our sport has come a long way in the past few years and is constantly receiving more and more media coverage. These awards were created to showcase the best of the best in our sport, and do it in a fun way.

Sponsors are currently being sought after for the awards. Sponsorship of the awards will include logo placement on physical awards, advertising in awards video, plus advertising space elsewhere. Below is a preliminary list of all awards that will be given. Suggestions for other awards are accepted and nominations for each award will be accepted for the next 4 weeks and will close on August 24th, 2011. From there, nominees with most votes will be pared down and online polls will be created for each award. There will be a voting period which will end on September 13th, 2011. From there, votes will be totaled, the awards show will be produced and will be release at a date to be announced.
