No, you’re not in the ATL and I’m not Gladys Knight. Once again it’s time for Chicken and Waffles, the weekly update of info and news from the offroad and moto world. Enough of the intro, let’s dive right into this week’s.. well, hate to say it but,  kind of lack of info.

First off, lets talk about last weekend. I rode up to the CRA race in Pennsylvania with Charkie and Rob, so the Offroad Junkies crew was there in full effect. It was a bit of an interesting trip between Charkie running out of gas between work and home, Rob losing a cooler between his house and Charkie’s, bumper to bumper traffic through Virginia, not getting to our destination until 3am, rain and mud.

In short, the race itself was great and Charkie was actually in contention for the Overall win but ended up with third after going down. Still a heck of a ride from Charkie, so good job to him. I’ve got the video of the race posted here, so be sure to check it out.

The NCHSA series also raced this past weekend at the Mountain Challenge track in Wilkesboro, NC. TJ Snow ended up with the Overall win in front of Matthew Pressley, AA Class Winner Glenn Drum, Trevor Barrett and former series champion Jason Gilleland. Congrats to everyone who had a successful ride at Mountain Challenge.

On the national side of things last weekend, Charlie Mullins took the win at the Jack Pine National Enduro. Russell Bobbitt took second followed by Cory Buttrick in third, Nick Fahringer in fourth and Mike Lafferty in fifth. The win by Mullins puts him futher into the series points lead and at this point it looks like Mullins will be your 2010 National Enduro Champion in just a few more races.

Moving ahead to this coming weekend and week, the X Games are going on right now and thus far we’ve seen Josh Grant taking Gold in Super X and Travis Pastrana making his return to freestyle, in style, with gold.

This coming week is of course the biggest amateur national event in the world. Yes, it’s time once again for the Loretta Lynns Amateur National in Tennessee. I’ve got some spies out at this track this week, so be sure to stay tuned here for updates and some cool pictures!

Since theres not a ton of stuff going on this week, I’m going to wrap this up early and tell you to pin it to win it and keep the rubber side down.
