No, you’re not in the ATL and I’m not Gladys Knight. It’s time once again for Chicken and Waffles, the weekly rambling of some useful, but more usless info from the offroad, and a little bit from the moto worlds. So with the intro out of the way once again, let’s jump in and see what kind of stuff is going on.

Last weekend the next to last round of the 2010 AMA National Enduro Series was held in Maine. Defending series champ Russell Bobbitt got back to his winning ways as he took the overall in front of series legend Mike Lafferty and third place rider Nick Fahringer. Nathan Kanney made it out to take fourth overall in front of series points leader Charlie Mullins. The National Enduros now have some time off until the series finale in October.

The Mid-East Series started back this past weekend as well and multi-time series champ Jesse Robinson took the overall win. The race was at the Welborn Farms track, which was formerly known as Country Club to the Mid-East riders, which is also the same place as the Yadkin Valley Stomp GNCC.

The 2010/2011 SETRA season also got underway this past weekend with the Cherokee hare scramble in Greensboro, Georgia. Defending GNCC Champion Paul Whibley made it out for this one and from what I was told, commanded the whole race to take the overall win.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that the Fred Andrews Racing Monster Energy GNCC team maybe switching to Husqvarna’s for 2011… Well, a video on Andrew Short’s website from the Craig Morgan Charity Ride showed Fred himself riding two up with Craig on a Husqvarna. Also, apparently Jason Thomas was riding a Husqvarna at a CRA race in Ohio recently! Hmmm..

Coming up this weekend is Endurocross Friday night in Indy and an OMA race on Sunday in Indiana. Could be an interesting weekend!

I do believe I will keep it short and sweet this week, but I will also tell you to stay tuned to the site and Offroad Junkies as well because I have some cool ideas in the works, and may even have something special next week! No promises, but it might be cool!

Anyway, until next time, stay goony my friends.
